People have always asked me;
"If you know so much about Spandau Ballet, how come you don't know when their first gig was?".
I'm not a super genius, but it was quite easy to look it up, and it was at club Blitz, London, in December 1979!

Makes a perfect throwback, don't ya think? It's nice to look back at the past times and remember how good they were!




Now, I just love this pic, true Soul Boys! I just love their facial expressions, their clothes make them so cool and serious!

Martin vs. Gary, who's the better looking one?

A lot of people have asked me which one I think is the best looking Kemp brother. I fall down and hit a brick wall at that one, because I simply don't know which one to choose! I like both! But...

Martin always knows when and where to dress classy, Soho being the place!

Gary has a huge select circle of friends, including Nick Rhodes of Duran Duran and Roger Taylor of Queen.

Martin had a mullet in the 1980's and suited it very well. You could say he was keeping up with the times.

Gary made an exceptional backing vocalist. Have you heard his famous parts on Chant No 1 and Instinction?

Martin: bass god!

What suits Martin better?

As we all know, Martin Kemp has sported a lot of different hairstyles and colours. But which one do you think suits him the most? T'other day I saw in the paper a photo of him with grey hair, and a confession that he'd been dying it for a number of years. In my opinion, and quoted by Lisa Simpson, going grey is really empowering. It allowed him to age with confidence and still look great. However in the respected opinions of others, this is not the case. So I decided to have a little poll. What hair colour suits MJK the best?

Grey?

Or brown?

I've posted the two images on my Spandau Ballet fan page Soul Boys of the Western World and so far grey is winning. Can we outsmart it with brown?

Is There Plans for a new SB tour?

Hi everyone!!

You'll never guess what I've just read on twitter. It seems I've had a significant amount of retweets on a specific reply to Gary. He mentioned Martin and said something about his new hairstyle ruining the lighting plans for the band's ‘new tour’. My heart started to beat hard an fast. Was this finally a breakthrough we have waited 5 long years for? Or was it just general nonsense? I have yet to receive a reply from the brothers. Fingers crossed that this time in summer I'll being seeing them perform!
